BYERS GYMNASTICS CENTERS |
|
have been around Northern
California for over 35 years. Byers-Roseville
originated in 1986 and provides gymnastics instruction
for girls and boys ages walking thru teen. We
believe that everyone can benefit from the sport of
gymnastics and strive to make a difference in the lives
of children. |

interaction, motor planning, form and space perception,

Gym Rotations |
|
are well planned in
advance. A gym rotation is the schedule that each class
follows during the regular class hour. It consists of
warm-up exercises, floor exercises, two of the rotations
events and conditioning exercises. |
Basic Gymnastics Skills Lists [BGSL] |
|
are kept for each gymnast.
Every class, from the youngest to the oldest, have
skills and goals to be achieved. When the skills are
mastered at one level the gymnast then moves to the next
skill level. |
Class Size: |
|
We try very hard to keep
our student/teacher ratio low so each child receives the
attention they need. Parent Participation classes can
have as many as 15 because of the parental assistance.
Tot classes normally range from 5-7 students and the
Kinders and Basic classes usually have up to 8 students. |
Byers Summer
Olympics/Winter Presentations: |
|
An important part of the
gymnasts skills and progress is taking part in the
Summer Olympics, which takes place in July and our
Winter Presentations that we do in December. The
children enjoy showing off their newly mastered skills
and receiving ribbons and medals. |
Team Competitions: |
|
Not all children or
parents desire to be a member of a competitive team. If
you are interested in becoming involved in the team
program please let the office know and we will have a
coach contact you. |

Class Schedule: |
|
We make every effort to
schedule classes so that parents with children of
differing ages and abilities can enroll tier children on
the same day and at the same time. We often have five or
six different classes being conducted simultaneously |
